One of the most treasured memories of school life are the picnics, educational trips and adventure camps attended with friends. To ensure that our students can add more to this treasure, every year the school organizes visits for all. Smiling faces, twinkling eyes and giggling laughter – are our memories from each such trip. And yes together we learn sharing and caring, team spirit and time management and come back enriched and empowered.

Annual Picnic to Taj Mahal 18th-November-2017 – Annual Picnic to Taj Mahal

“A wonder of wonders in the world, the Taj Mahal is a living edifice of human passion.”

Students of classes VI-VIII recently visited this beautiful wonder for their annual picnic on 18 November 2017. The Taj Mahal was built about three hundred and fifty years ago by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, in memory of his beloved queen, Mumtaj.  Students were mesmerised by the splendour of this white marble monument. They were informed about the history of Taj Mahal by a guided tour of the magnificent monument. The intricate mosaic work impressed one and all. Its splendour left the students spellbound. Then they were taken for a sumptuous lunch to Push Villa Hotel.

After filling their bellies, it was time to visit yet another famous monument, the Agra Fort. It was built in the year 1573 under the reign of Akbar – one of the greatest Mughal Emperors. It took more than 4000 workers and eight years of hardship to complete the fort. It remained as the main residence of the emperors belonging to the Mughal dynasty until the year 1638. Such historical details gave the students a lot to ponder over and increased their knowledge about our rich history.

The trip didn’t just provide them a break from regular school routine but also proved as a learning and enriching experience.
